Ice Etiquette

All skaters are required to be familiar with the Ice Etiquette and Club Ice Rules before taking the ice. Skaters should remain mindful of these rules during club sessions to ensure they can follow them seamlessly. Note that the ice monitor has full authority over the sessions and will remove anyone who does not adhere to the ice etiquette.

Please refer to the ice diagram to identify the designated areas for practicing jumps, spins, and other elements, and familiarize yourself with the layout.

Guest and Associate Coaches must complete the Pro-Agreement before coaching on Club ice.

What is the Excaliburr Music System?

Excaliburr is Forestwood's one of a kind music system. All musicis uploaded into the system and put in line by skaters or their coach. This program ensures proper etiquette is maintained and provides a stress-free song hierarchy.

- New skaters or those with new music can either bring their CD or email their digital music file to kiraly.edward@att.net and support@forestwoodskatingclub.com to upload.

- Each skater not in a lesson may request (1) song per discipline every 15 minutes, as outlined in rule 14 of the ice etiquette. A timer at the bottom of the screen allows skaters to track how much time remains before they can make another request. (At the monitor's discretion, skaters may be unlocked early during light sessions.)

- Coaches and skaters in a lesson are welcome to request music as needed, but are encouraged to use this privilege responsibly.

- Skaters in a lesson have priority. Those not in a lesson will be placed further down the queue. If a skater who is not in a lesson has been "bumped" twice, their status will turn red (granting them priority), and they will alternate with skaters in a lesson.
